THIRD MEDICAL CAMPS IN NOTHERN KHORDFAN AND ROSEILAS BLUE NILE STATE MARCH, 2016
The third annual camp consisted of camps to two localities and was inclusive of medical services, religious (da’wah) and social services. The two localities were:
- A camp to Western Kordufan State (Alkhuwei locality)
- A camp to Blue Nile state
Objectives
- To provide healthcare services to the less privileged communities.
- To provide health Education programs about the primary healthcare practices that will help improve and upgrade the health standards and lessen disease occurrence
- To educate mothers on the importance of under-5 healthcare for children through:
- Breast feeding methods and its importance;
- Supplementation and weaning;
The camp to Al khuwei locality;
The most diagnosed diseases were:
- Respiratory tract infections 32%
- Gastrointestinal infections 27%
- Urinary tract infections 10%
Beneficiaries were approximately 1068 people, rendering the camp successful
